That's not hijab

That's Not Hijab

Funny and entertaining yet very 'ilmiah also. :)
A short reminder for myself and muslim sisters out there. Let's follow what ALLAH SWT has guide us in the Al Quran and Hadith,by covering our hair n body(aurat) properly and protect our modesty. Learn what is permissible and what is not and don't ever let ourself being affected by the other culture like others followed(esp in Western).

“In our culture, not one part of a women's body is left untouched, unaltered. No feature or extremity is spared the art, or pain, of improvement. Hair is dyed, lacquered, straightened, permanented; eyebrows are plucked, pencilled, dyed; eyes are lined, mascaraed, shadowed; lashes are curled or false- from head to toe, every feature of a woman's face, every section of her body, is subject to modification, alteration." (Dworkin, 1974, p.112)

We choose what we want to do with our body but by the guidance from ALLAH SWT. Nothing wrong if you want to be good looking but there are boundaries. Allah Is The Most Beautiful and He also love beautiful things. But don't let the feelings to be attracttive and get as much attention as you could, end up in damaging yourself. In Islam the status of women have been uplifted since zaman Jahiliyyah. No double standard or gender violence to women as what some people accuse. They are just been blinded by the fact that it is their culture that abuse, manipulate women for their own. So let's follow every rules and be grateeful to ALLAH SWT. Islam is the perfect way of life. Just remember, ALLAH SWT knows what best for us.:)

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to their own husbands or fathers or husbands' fathers, or their sons or their husbands' sons, or their brothers or their brothers' sons or sisters' sons, or their women, or their slaves, or male attendants who lack vigour, or children who know naught of women's nakedness. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn unto Allah together, O believers, in order that ye may succeed.
